Homeschool Days

We schedule one homeschool day per month and encourage individual homeschoolers, co-ops, and small school groups to attend these events. These events have homeschool stations for the following age groups: K-2, 3-5th, 6-8th, and 9-12th grades. The gates open at 9:45am and learning station lessons begin at 10:15am. Tickets go fast and should be purchased in advance on our website to guarantee a spot!

We’re so excited to share that Wesley Wells Farm is now an approved direct provider for Step Up For Students! That means families using Step Up scholarships can now use their funds toward meaningful, hands-on learning experiences right here on the farm including Horse Camp, Farm Camp, Homeschool & Field Trip Days.

Our goal has always been to create a place where kids can learn, explore, and connect with agriculture in a real and memorable way—and this opens the door for even more families to be part of it.

If you’re a Step Up family, we’d love to have you join us this season!

September – Surprising Sunflowers! – Step into the sunflower field for a fun and faith-filled learning experience! Students will explore the incredible design of sunflowers through a creation-based perspective, discovering how young sunflowers follow the sun through a process called heliotropism.

October – It’s What’s On the Inside That Counts – Students will gather for a live pumpkin carving demonstration while listening to an engaging story about character, kindness, and the importance of inner beauty over outward appearance..

November – Exploring the Forest – Students will discover the many important purposes trees serve — from providing lumber for furniture and paper products to surprising everyday items they may never have realized come from trees.

December – GMOs: The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly – Dive into the fascinating and sometimes controversial world of GMOs in this interactive agriculture field trip about genetically modified organisms.

January – Don’t Ruffle My Feathers – Get ready for a feather-filled adventure in our “Don’t Ruffle My Feathers” field trip!

February – Garden in a Glove – Students will learn the basics of planting and growing while exploring how seeds sprout and plants thrive.

March – The Buzz – Students will discover the important role pollinators play in our food system and environment in this exciting, hands-on field trip.

April – Monsters on the Farm – Students will discover how giant zucchini can sometimes seem like “garden monsters” while learning all about how zucchini grows, what plants need to thrive, and the many ways farmers care for their crops.
